Applicants can only use the online application form to apply to our Main Grants Scheme at present. If you wish to apply to our Small Grants Scheme or Flagship Scheme then please scroll down for further information.

Change to terms of eligibility for Applicants in Northern Ireland: Projects based in Northern Ireland applying to Biffaward under both the Main and Small Grant Schemes must be within 10 miles of ANY landfill site (not necessarily owned by Biffa). Eligible projects will not be able to apply via the online application form at present time so should contact Biffaward directly on 01636 670000.

Applying to our MAIN Grants Scheme

Funding between £5,000- £50,000 is available through our main grants scheme. Your project must work towards one of the four following themes:

Cultural Facilities
Rebuilding Biodiversity
Community Buildings
Recreation

To be considered for our Main Grants Scheme you need to complete an online Expression of Interest application.

The online form will start by asking you a number of questions to check your eligibility for funding. If eligible you will then be given the opportunity to complete and submit an Expression of Interest application.

Applying to our SMALL Grants Scheme

Is your project going to cost less than £10,000? If so, the Small Grants Scheme may be more appropriate for you. Grants of £250 to £5,000 are available.

Applying to our FLAGSHIP Scheme

Through our Flagship Scheme we look to fund projects that have something unique and exciting that no other project in the region, or possibly country, has. Grants of £150,000 - £500,000 are available.
