Miss Cordingley's Garden, a plot of land in Walkden Gardens in Sale, has been given a special birthday present from Greening Greater Manchester (GGM) - a £15,000 donation to transform this currently derelict space into an exciting area that welcomes visitors. The Scottish Beaver Trial (17 December 2008)

Biffaward has pledged to support the Scottish Beaver Trial with grants of up to £1 million. The six-year reintroduction project will see up to four beaver families released in Knapdale, Mid-Argyll in spring 2009. New funds for Pegasus will not go to waste (17 December 2008)

Biffaward is helping The Pegasus Theatre achieve an improved energy profile with a grant of £50,000. This will specifically fund the installation of a low energy, natural air-cooling and circulation system in the new venue. Biffaward has donated £45,750 towards the reconstruction of Morrall's Gentlemen's Outfitters at the Black Country Living Museum. Morrall's Outfitters is one of a number of shops being brought back to life in the museum's new High Street and is part of the £10 million Street's Ahead expansion programme. Representatives from Biffa Waste Services visited RSPB NI's Portmore Lough Reserve today (Wednesday 03 December) to see its new softrak machine. The Butterfly Journey (26 November 2008)
| Chester Zoo's latest exhibit has opened this month thanks to the help of Biffaward funding. The Butterfly Journey is the largest zoo-based butterfly exhibit in the UK, and is home to 500 colourful butterflies.

Sheep to be re-introduced to Tiger Hill in bid to restore heathland (31 October 2008)
Thanks to £7,000 worth of funding from Biffaward - a multi-million pound environment fund, and Suffolk County Council, important heathland at Tiger Hill Local Nature Reserve near Bures will benefit from a new regime of sustainable management.

The new Barford Community Shop opens (31 October 2008)
The new Barford Community shop, in Barford, Warwick, opens on Saturday 01 November with a grand opening at 12 noon. A staggering £270,000 has been raised over 2 years to complete the project. To mark the occasion, villagers were invited to bring their own scissors to help cut a giant ribbon placed around the shop. A number of other activities took place including a grand prize draw, opening promotions, live music and competitions.
