2010 Flagship Scheme Reopens
The start of the month saw Biffaward’s 2010 national Flagship Scheme reopen to applications.
Through the Flagship Scheme Biffaward looks to fund projects that have something unique and exciting that no other project in the region, or possibly country, has.
Projects must be focused towards rebuilding biodiversity or cultural facilities to be considered, and also meet further specific criteria. If successful though, grants of £150,000 - £500,000 are available.
Biffaward is a national environment fund managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts, which utilises landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services. Since its inception in 1997, Biffaward has awarded more than £100 million in funding to over 2,000 projects.
Unlike Biffawards Small and Main Grants Schemes, Flagship applications are only accepted at a certain time each year. Applications for 2010 are now open and applicants have three months to submit their first stage application before the closing date on 01 July.
