Princess Royal Opens 'Biffa Suite' in Suffolk

Her Royal Highness, the Princess Royal was recently present at the opening of a Biffaward funded project.

Princess Anne officially opened the new facilities at the Suffolk Punch Trust, who recently expanded their site with the development of a new educational suite, thanks to a £50,000 grant from Biffaward.

Biffaward Awards 2010 - The Final Shortlist

The first round of judging for the Biffaward Awards 2010 has been completed, and we can now proudly announce our finalists for the awards. With 21 projects shortlisted for the final stage of judging, read on to find out who's made the cut and what happens next.

A few to catch our eye recently include:


St Mary's Church, Wallingford

The church was refurbished following a £50,000 grant from Biffaward, which included a new kitchen/coffee area, additional meeting rooms, and stone flooring. The result was stunning, providing the Church with an area for the whole community to use


The Wildlife Habitat Protection Trust

The Trust received over £49,000 to develop a natural haven for wildlife at this North Yorkshire site. Access for the general public was also developed with a range of shelters/viewing points installed to allow people to learn more about the wildlife living there 


Environmental Improvements in Downhill's Park

Working in partnership, Friends of Downhill's Park and Froglife received £30,000 in Biffaward funding in order to create a standing water habitat to improve biodiversity in the area. A wildflower meadow was also created to further improve the surrounding area
